Review the information and adjust the information
- Notice, for instance, that I've chosen to use fields that have proper uppercase letters.
- Leave the gift dates on this one. Sometimes we need to adjust those, but in this case, the "master record" is also the most up to date. All the donations will be moved to the master record.
- Click Merge.
- Go back and select the Master Record and the rest of the duplicates. Repeat the process.
- All the Julies will now be attached to one Household record. Always do the Accounts before the Contacts if there are duplicate accounts.
Next up: Go back to Lightning and the Waffle to find Contact Merge
Click on the Contact Merge that doesn't have (OLD) on it.
Search Contacts
Now you can compare every field. Pick the ones that make sense.
I picked names that started with capital letters. All the Donations will come to the winner. All the related lists will transfer to the winner. Unfortunately, Classy has different member IDs for all of these, so you'll need to manually add the winner's Classy ID.
Click Merge.
Next you go back to Julie and add the last duplicate to the contact record.
